Shinoda seminar was formed in 2007 at The Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation(IDEC), Hiroshima University.
The seminar is organized by Dr. Hideaki Shinoda, an associate professor of The Institute for Peace and Science Hiroshima University(IPSHU).
Issues dealt cover a wide rage of peacebuiding activities by various kinds of actors. Some students are interested in adjacent realms such as peacemaking, international relations, international law, gender and so on.
The total numbers of the students are 13 as of April 2012 (6 for master course, 7 for doctoral course, 2 for research students). Among them, 4 students are from Sri Lanka, Serbia, Botswana and Lao P.D.R.
